In the fast-paced realm of digital marketing, businesses seek efficient strategies to elevate their online presence, and Google Ads emerges as a pivotal tool to have in your digital marketing arsenal. Here are 5 tips to help you crush your pay per click goals!
What Makes Your Business Stand Out? Spend time thinking about your ad copy outside of the platform. Your ad copy is the first interaction users have with your brand. Craft compelling and concise headlines and descriptions that grab attention and convey your unique selling proposition. Highlight key benefits, promotions, or exclusive offers to entice users to click. Don’t forget to utilize split testing. Create 2 ads within each ad group with different language and see which your audience responds to more. Are you running a sale? Are your potential customers going to respond to a % off headline, or a sale price?
Optimize Landing Pages for Conversions: You can have the best ads in the world, but if your website sucks, no one will want to do business with you. Your website plays a crucial role in converting clicks into customers. Ensure a seamless transition from ad to landing page by maintaining consistent messaging, design, and branding. Make sure your ad headlines match the main keyword on the page a potential customer lands on. Additionally, I bet more than 80% of your website is on mobile devices. So, make sure you are prioritizing the mobile user experience. Simple navigation, quality information, and easy contact methods go a long way.
Utilize Ad Extensions: Enhance the visibility and functionality of your ads by incorporating ad extensions. These additional snippets of information provide more context about your business, such as location, contact details, or specific product links. As I asked you before, what makes your business stand out?
Do Your Research: It might be tedious, but take the time to research and segment your keywords. “Discover New Keywords” within the Google Ads Keyword Planner tool is a fantastic tool, but it does give you some useless keywords from time to time. A great way to creative effective ad groups is to export the list of keywords into Microsoft Excel and analyze the list and start to look for themes within that master list. Those separate keyword themes become your ad groups within your campaign. These keywords can then be pasted back into Google Ads as phrase match and/or exact match keywords. I would recommend avoiding broad match keywords as it can result in low quality traffic to your website.
